Parau by Material Creative

The kitchen, side lounge, and bar were conceived as a single, interconnected zone, the bar mirroring the kitchen cabinetry so that both read as one continuous composition of material and form.

The hand-rendered plaster range hood, shaped over more than 60 hours, melts into the wall, its softened edges reflecting the curves throughout the home.

A feast of curvature and softness, this project is cohesive and well-proportioned while impressing the judges for its inherent uniqueness.

This kitchen is resort-like and intensely detailed, full of spatial logic and flows while adding a bit of poetry to the heart of the home.

Bespoke solid oak handles, crafted by a local West Auckland maker, give the cabinetry a lean, sculptural presence.
The monolithic Sampania marble island, with gently curved edges, anchors the room and softens the precision of the surrounding joinery
