The details

Though Whitaker will be a familiar face to New Zealanders for his role as a judge on the genre-defining Australian renovation show The Block, he’s had a distinguished career in interior design and publishing and was appointed King Living’s global ambassador at the beginning of 2018.

Until recently, Whitaker was editor of Vogue Living and before that edited Belle – a sister title to HOME via our owners Bauer Media – for eight years. He has been at the forefront of Australian interior design for more than two decades.

Helming Australia’s leading interior design magazines means Whitaker has a discerning eye for authenticity and personality. He eschews trends and once noted he hoped never to see an exposed light bulb ever again.
