See the international judge for Home of the Year live with HOME

Next week, the Canadian-Norwegian architect Todd Saunders joins HOME as the international guest judge for our annual Home of the Year award, brought to you by Altherm Window Systems.

We’re pretty excited, and we thought you might like to catch up with him too – so we’re hosting two small events, at City Gallery Wellington and the Auckland Art Gallery on February 14 and 16.

Saunders is best known for the deeply cerebral yet playful work on Fogo Island, where he designed an inn and six artists’ studios – work that has made him internationally famous. But he also has a body of work that stretches through public and private projects both small and large.

In Wellington, we’re showing Strange & Familiar: Architecture on Fogo Island, followed by a chat with Saunders and in Auckland we’ll be catching up with him on recent projects – and what he’s seen in New Zealand – over a glass of wine. Saunders is an engaging and entertaining speaker, so this is one you won’t want to miss.

You can buy tickets for Wellington here and for Auckland here. For a taster, check out the clip of him talking at Ted x a couple of  years ago.
